This grant, offered by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), is for a technical assistance project in Lesotho. Its primary purpose is to reinforce the Government of Lesotho’s efforts to promote occupational safety and health (OSH) and combat discrimination and gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH) within the world of work. With approximately $3,000,000 available for one cooperative agreement, the project will adopt a multi-stakeholder approach. It aims to strengthen institutional capacity and foster a policy environment that supports workers’ rights. Key outcomes include enhancing the capacity of government institutions to monitor and enforce relevant international labor standards, and strengthening government collaboration with local and regional stakeholders to develop and implement policies, procedures, and services related to OSH and anti-discrimination.
