Description: The Teacher Exchange Branch in the Office of Global
Educational Programs of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA),
U.S. Department of State, announces an open competition for a Cooperative
Agreement in the amount of approximately $300,000 to support the FY 2009 U.S.
– Russia Language, Technology, Math, and Science Program. This program will
provide a four-week professional development program in the U.S. for secondary
school teachers from Russia, followed by a two-week program in Russia for U.S.
teachers and the Russian educators, and a workshop in Russia led by the
Russian teachers for Russian colleagues. U.S. organizations meeting the
provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 501 (c) (3) are eligible
to apply.
