Description: Limited Funding is available through the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) for proposals for globally-relevant capacity building, research, and evaluations or assessment projects that help the humanitarian community better prevent and respond to GBV in refugee and conflict-affected displacement globally among PRM populations of concern. To maximize global reach, activities should involve multiple locations and, when appropriate, multiple partners. Proposals must: 1) Seek to build the capacity of international organizations, non-governmental organizations and their implementing partners to prevent and respond to GBV with worldwide application and/or implications; and/or 2) Involve research on current gaps and challenges related to GBV; and/or 3) Conduct impact assessments or external evaluations (prospective or retrospective) of GBV interventions that can test the impact and outcomes of global GBV response with a goal of informing and strengthening future programming. Such research, assessments, or evaluations should be conducted in an academically rigorous manner, include concrete policy and program recommendations for relevant humanitarian stakeholders, focus on PRM populations of concern, and include dissemination/roll-out strategies. NOTE: This funding is not intended to build the capacity of a specific or single organization. Proposals for programmatic (i.e., direct service provision) GBV prevention and/or response efforts serving refugee and conflict-affected populations in specific countries or geographic locations should be submitted through a separate application process when relevant Notice of Funding Opportunity announcements are posted.
