The Regional Environment, Science, Technology, and Health Office (REO) at U.S. Embassy Bangkok announces this Notice of Funding Opportunity (“NOFO”) for Mekong River Basin Monitoring Tools. A Cooperative Agreement for up to $400,000 U.S. Dollars (USD) in FY 2020 Economic Support Funds (ESF) will be awarded for a program intended to strengthen the political will and catalyze support for integrated and cooperative solutions to improving water data management in the Lower Mekong River Basin.
Eligibility is limited to U.S. non-profit/nongovernmental organizations subject to section 501 (c) (3) of the U. S. tax code, foreign not-for-profit/nongovernmental organizations, educational institutions, and to public international organizations.
A Cooperative Agreement for up to $400,000 U.S. Dollars (USD) in FY 2020 Economic Support Funds (ESF) will be awarded for work that will support efforts to modernize both national and regional capacities to maintain and improve the collection, availability, analysis, and management of hydrological, hydrometerological, and environmental data and information necessary for the sustainable management of water resources in the Lower Mekong River Basin. The program will also work with the Mekong River Commission and National Mekong Committees, as appropriate, to conduct outreach, training, and potential integration with existing tools in support of the Mekong Water Data Initiative. The initial period of performance will be for two years (24 months). Funding authority rests in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended.
