State bodies are encouraged to work with NGOs to submit applications. American or other donor country organizations or individuals are not eligible for grants under this program. The maximum grant award is $25,000.

The U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section (PAS) in Dushanbe is soliciting Grant Proposals from Tajik non-governmental organizations and independent media organizations that focus on one of the priority areas specified below. Applicants should pay close attention to the Public Affairs Section’s goals, priority program areas, target audiences, and geographic locations when developing their proposals. 

Priority themes: 

  1. Air and Water Pollution: Raise public awareness about air and water pollution in Tajikistan, their harmful effects, and what measures can be implemented to address the problems
  2. Waste Management: Raise public awareness about waste management problems in Tajikistan, their harmful effects, and what measures can be implemented to address the problems
