The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering Wetland Program Development Grants (WPDGs) to foster research, investigations, training, and studies focused on water pollution. This grant specifically supports projects designed to build or refine state, tribal, and local government wetland programs. Eligible applicants include states, tribes, local government agencies, interstate agencies, intertribal consortia, and universities chartered as state government agencies. It is important to note that this funding is exclusively for program development and refinement, not for the implementation of existing wetland protection programs. Non-profit organizations are not eligible to apply. Applicants will compete within two distinct tracks, ensuring targeted funding for enhancing critical wetland initiatives.
