Description: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE, AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) intends to award a cooperative agreement to the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaquez for supporting decision making for the Department of Interior Puerto Rico Hurricane recovery efforts. Specifically, this opportunity addresses the need for science support to assess shoreline changes and identify beach erosion amelioration strategies, including recommendations to protect, adapt, or retreat. The Service will be substantially involved in the Cooperative Ecosystems Studies Units working closely with host universities and/or partner institutions on research, technical assistance, and education.
