Additional Information

Agency Name: Fish and Wildlife Service
Description: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) intends to award a single source financial assistance agreement amendment as authorized by 505 DM 2.14 (B) 1 & 4 to Envirological Services, Inc.

This award supports Department of Interior priorities. The intended single source award to Envirological Services, Inc., directly supports Secretarial Action 1: ⿿creating a conservation stewardship legacy second only to Teddy Roosevelt⿝, by utilizing science to identify best management practices to manage land and water resources and allowing adaptation to changes in the environment (1a). This proposed project will provide information that will allow land management agencies to develop informed best management practices for forest products removal (i.e., fuel load reduction and fuel wood for local communities). This award also will also foster relationships with conservation organizations advocating for balanced stewardship and use of public lands (1e). This award also supports Secretarial Action 2: ⿿Restoring trust with local communities⿝ through collaboration with partners and by expanding lines of communication with Governors, state natural resource offices, Fish and Wildlife offices, water authorities, county commissioners, Tribes, and local communities (2d). This award will support activities that will be done in concert with, or that are of interest to, many partners (New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, Texas Tech University, United States Geological Survey and Bureau of Land Management).
