Description: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE, AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) intends to award a cooperative agreement to the North Carolina Coastal Land Trust for the purpose to permanently conserve a 24-acre parcel of wetlands and barrier island hammock on Ocracoke Island through fee title donation. This habitat will be protected for priority bird species such as Seaside Sparrow, Saltmarsh Sparrow, Black Rail, Yellow Rail, Painted Buntings and connecting people to nature by providing public access and nature interpretation through development of a nature trail/boardwalk. Invasive species will also be eradicated.
