Description: This single source modification to cooperative agreement award F17AC00553 in the amount of $35,746.92 is made to the Hispanic Access Foundation. The recipient has already been selected. The period of performance for this project is anticipated to be September 15, 2017 through September 30, 2018. The Service will be substantially involved in this project:

â¿¢ Provide DOI Security clearance and government furnished computers
â¿¢ Provide project oversight and day-to-day supervision
â¿¢ Review and draft final reports

Funds under this award are to be used to place an intern in the Communications and Partnership Branch of Fish and Aquatic Conservation working primarily on digital products under the supervision of Gina Long of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The Communications and Digital Media Specialist will be physically located at FWS Headquarters (40 hours per week for 52 weeks). The internâ¿¿s primary project will be to update and revise program website content. In addition, the intern will work on broader communication initiatives, conduct research, draft and edit articles and reports and assist with layout and design that incorporates use of images and video to create appealing and well thought out webpages, presentations, information products and documents. A secondary project will be developing an image management protocol and setting up an image library for staff use.

The internship deliverables include revised Fish and Aquatic Conservation webpage revisions (approximately 200 pages). This will include managing and creating photo displays, videos with key messages, and other graphics as needed.

This award is made through the Service⿿s CFDA (15.676) Youth Engagement, Education, and Employment under the authority of Powers and Duties of the Secretary of the Interior (16 U.S.C. 460 Sec. 460l (lower case ⿿L⿝)-1(d) and (f); Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956, as amended by the Fish and Wildlife Improvement Act of 1978 ( 16 U.S.C. 742a-754j-2, as amended; Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act (16 U.S.C. 661); National Fish Hatchery System Volunteer Act of 2006 (Public Law 109-360); National Wildlife Refuge System Improvement Act of 1997; National Wildlife Refuge System Volunteer and Community Partnership Enhancement Act of 1998 ( 16 U.S.C. 742j); Public Lands Corps Act of 1993, as amended 2005 (16 U.S.C. 1721-1726, P.L. 109-154); Youth Conservation Corps Act of 1972 (P.L. 93-408).
