The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, through its Anadromous Fish Restoration Program, is offering this grant to monitor the crucial movement patterns of age 1+ steelhead downstream migrants. This grant is for the specific purpose of conducting an acoustic tracking study to understand and track these fish from the Stanislaus River, located in Stanislaus County, California. The available funding aims to support essential data collection for conservation efforts. Anticipated to commence as early as January 1, 2011, the project is scheduled for completion by September 30, 2011, falling within Fiscal Year 2011.
