Description: | The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), Department of Interior Region 3, is awarding this single source funding opportunity of $200,000 to the Great Lakes Fish Commission (GLFC) to administer the Great Lakes Fishery Commission’s Sport Fish Restoration competitive grant program. The GLFC is apportioned $200,000 each year under the Fish and Wildlife Programs Improvement and National Wildlife Refuge System Centennial Act of 2000. These funds are administered by the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program (WSFR) of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and awarded to the GLFC to administer a competitive grants program. No other entity is eligible to receive the funds. The award will be a cooperative agreement because a Service representative is one of the commissioners listed in the following section, so will participate as a decision maker. Service staff also routinely collaborate with GLFC staff on grant implementation, data base development and sharing and research. |
