Description: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE AND THERE IS NO “FULL ANNOUNCEMENT” ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. In accordance with Department of Interior Guidance (505 DM 2), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hereby provides notice of its intent to make a single source award of $972,800.00 to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation under a multi-year cooperative agreement (01/01/2013 to 12/31/2017) to engage public, for-profit, and non-profit organizations in developing and implementing priority water and habitat restoration projects in riparian areas of the Colorado River, including its Delta. Through administration of a Colorado River Delta Restoration Fund, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation will pool and leverage contributed federal funds and other funds to invest in priority water and habitat restoration projects in riparian areas of the Colorado River and its Delta. This fund will build on the important work of local partners such as the Colorado River Delta Water Trust, Ducks Unlimited – Mexico, and others while building momentum and capacity in support of both near-term and long-term Colorado River Delta restoration efforts. Restoration projects will benefit priority bird species for which the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has responsibility under the authority of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
