Description: THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE, AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) intends to award a grant agreement to the Canadian Wildlife Service under authority of CFDA 15.655 and the Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956, as amended (16 USC 742a – 742j). The Service proposes to provide financial support to enhance monitoring capabilities for breeding waterfowl in the Interior of British Columbia. Waterfowl population estimates are estimated separately for each ecosection and for the entire survey area. These estimates are used to support the harvest strategy for western mallards and set duck harvest regulations in the Pacific Flyway portion of the United States.
