The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, specifically its Klamath Falls Fish and Wildlife Office, is offering this grant to support vital conservation efforts focused on the Federally endangered Applegate’s Milkvetch plant. This funding initiative is designed to allow recipients to cultivate and propagate these critically rare plants, with a clear objective of establishing robust and secure populations in appropriate habitats. This grant is for the crucial purpose of recovering the species from its endangered status, which, if successful, would also serve to remove existing regulatory burdens on both private and public lands impacted by the plant’s presence. The Service will actively collaborate, providing significant technical assistance and cooperative support to the selected recipient throughout the duration of this impactful recovery project.
