Description: Funding is available through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Klamath Falls Fish and Wildlife Office to cultivate the Federally endangered Applegate’s Milkvetch plant. The project is intended to propagate the plants and help establish populations in secure habitats. If this can be done, it could help to recover the species and would remove any regulatory burden on private and public lands. Substantial involvement by the Service includes offering technical assistance and working cooperatively with the Recipient.

Additional Information on Eligibility: This is not an application process for the Applegate’s Milkvetch Cultivation project. This is a notice of intent to award the cooperative agreement up to $4,500 under justification 505 DM 2.14(B4). Rock Bottom Koi and Nursery is uniquely qualified as they own the nursery and have experience cultivating and growing plants that are native to the Klamath Basin. This project is to cultivate the Federally endangered Applegate’s Milkvetch plant.
