Agency Name:: National Park Service
Description:: United State Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) Notice of Intent to Award. This is not a request for applications. This funding opportunity is to provide public notice of NPS’s intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition to Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE), to collaboratively work with the NPS and continue the long term partnership that promotes natural and cultural resource stewardship, outreach, and education. The VCOE’s unique combination of educational experience, technical knowledge and their long history of working in partnership with the Park, makes the VCOE the logical choice to continue to provide distribution of Park programming and to collaborate on distance learning educational projects. The VCOE are located in close proximity to Channel Islands National Park, they are familiar with Park resources and have the ability and the experience to deliver reliable, high-quality distance learning programming to all 22 districts in Ventura County, throughout the country and around the world. This project has been ongoing for over 6 years and the park and VCOE want to continue their partnership in support of this project. This continued partnership allows the park to meet its mission of bringing the park to the people through educational and public opportunities such as this project.
