Description:: The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, is pleased to announce that funding is available for conducting English language and scholarship preparation courses for the Ministry of Education in Afghanistan. PAS Kabul anticipates funding one or multiple awards to conduct English language training in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in specific locations around the country. PAS Kabul invites all eligible Afghan organizations to submit a proposal for Preparing Afghan Secondary Students for the Ministry of EducationÂ’s Foreign Scholarships Program.

PAS is requesting proposals that include solutions to enhance the English language profiency of targeted, gender-balanced high school students or those who recently graduated from high schools, in 3 districts each of the 12 least-developed Afghan provinces: Nooristan, Paktika, Zabul, Uruzgan, Hilmand, Sar e pul, Farah, Ghor, Badghis, Samangan, Kandahar and Kunar. The three districts in each province will be selected by the Ministry of Education and it is expected that the districts will be in or very near the capital of each province.
PAS anticipates issuing one or multiple awards in an effort to provide intensive English language training to 2,000 targeted students and TOEFL and IELTS test preparation for approximately 200 of these 2,000 students.
