The US Fish and Wildlife Service is offering the Traditional Conservation Grant Program to support states in conserving and recovering threatened and endangered species. This grant provides financial assistance for projects that directly benefit federally listed, candidate, at-risk, and recently delisted species under the Service’s jurisdiction. States can apply for funding to conduct conservation work on resident species covered by cooperative agreements or to monitor candidate and at-risk species. Eligible activities include management, research, monitoring, and outreach. Successful applications will clearly demonstrate how the proposed work contributes to species recovery or prevents the need for listing under the Endangered Species Act, ensuring a direct benefit to the species or its habitat.
