Additional Information on Eligibility: This is a notice of intent to award Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) up to $270,803 under justification 505 DM2.14(B4). The Water Resouces Development Act of 1976, Public Law 94-587 and Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, 16 U.S.C. 661-666 authourizes and directs the US Fish & Wildlife Service, Lower Snake River Compensation Plan Office (LSRCP) to work with other State and Federal agencies, Indian tribes to develop and implement a program to evaluate survival and harvest of fish release on the lower Snake River. CTUIR is uniquely qualified as they work within the LSRCP facilities in the states of Oregon and Washington.

Description: Facilitate the cooperation of the US Fish & Wildlife Service, Lower Snake River Compensation Plan Office (LSRCP) and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) in accomplishing the purposes and objectives of the LSRCP within the states of Oregon and Washington. It provides for specified interchange of services, personnel, equipment, facilites and funds in order to accomplish LSRCP objectives through monitoring and evaluating: 1. Fish priduction at and distribution from LSRCP facilites in Oregon and Washington; 2. Adult fish returning to Oregon and Washington which were produced at LSRCP facilites in past years; and 3. Wild or natural stocks (and their habitats) which have or will have an effect on achieving the LSRCP program objectives.
