Description: | The United States Agency for International Development in Benin (USAID/Benin) is seeking applications for a five year Cooperative Agreement from qualified U.S. and non-U.S. organizations to implement an activity entitled “Integrated Health Services”.This activity is expected to strengthen the delivery high-impact malaria, family planning, maternal and child health, and gender-based violence (GBV) services in the public sector in four departments in Benin. Building on the achievements of current and past USAID-supported activities, the overall purpose of the activity is to contribute to the reduction of maternal, newborn, child and adolescent girls’ mortality and morbidity, with strong government and citizen engagement in the health sector. This reduction will be achieved through the following intermediate results (IRs):1. Quality of high-impact services for malaria, maternal child health, family planning, and gender-based violence increased 2. Uptake of high-impact health services increased3. Local leadership, management, governance, and stewardship of health services strengthened4. Central government planning and coordination of high-impact health interventions supportedThe Integrated Health Services activity will incorporate the guiding principles of USAID/Benin’s strategic framework, as well as strategies that seek to strengthen health systems, improve service delivery quality, transform gender relations, increase demand for high-impact services and reduce barriers to improved health and health-seeking behaviors. |
