This USAID/Uzbekistan Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the purpose of providing

stakeholders an opportunity to comment and suggest likely successful approaches to

incorporate into a potential new USAID/Uzbekistan activity, provisionally called: The Civil

Society and Media Development activity. USAID’s Civil Society and Media Development activity will support policy objectives in line with

President Mirziyoyev’s vision for developing a civil society and media as part of

“Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy” plan; specifically the goal “to deepen the democratic reforms and

implement the concept of developing a civil society, with an active role for mahallas,

non-governmental organizations, and free and impartial mass media.” This activity will also be

responsive to the needs that are articulated/identified by Uzbekistan’s civil society and media.
