Description: | USAID requests recommendations from interested parties on activities to improve Georgia’s (1) economic governance, (2) private sector competitiveness, (3) economic security and (4) access to information and skills development. This could include assistance across a range of different industry sectors – urban and rural, traditional and advanced. It could include technical and/or financial assistance to help further strengthen economic governance and private sector productive capacities, and should help to sustain Georgia’s economic growth not only during the period of this initiative, but for years after the assistance is complete. Activities should seek to maximize the involvement of Georgian government counterparts, institutions, organizations, and individuals.
Recommendations should fall within the following four broad objective areas: USAID is particularly interested in approaches that: 1. Strengthen and develop local capacity. Use of Global Indices: World Economic Forum Global Competitiveness Report 2009 – 2010 Mechanisms for Program Implementation: USAID also welcomes recommendations regarding the best mode of implementation to maximize impact. This is not a Request for Applications. Please do not submit proposals or statements of qualifications in response to this request.
