Description: | The United States Government, represented by the Agency for International Development (USAID), Global Health Bureau (GH), Office of Health, Infectious Diseases, and Nutrition (HIDN), proposes to enter into a five (5) year Cooperative Agreement for the implementation of the Food and Nutrition Technical Assistance (FANTA III) activity specifically described in Section I of the RFA. USAID is seeking applications from eligible institutions as described in Section III of the RFA. The authority for the RFA is found in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended.FANTA III aims to provide technical assistance to partner countries, USAID, and implementing partners to improve overall nutrition capacity and program effectiveness. With a particular emphasis on food security and health programming, FANTA III will work closely with the Bureau for Global Health (GH) and other USAID bureaus and offices (i.e. GH/OHA, BFS, EGAT, DCHA/FFP, DCHA/OFDA, AFR, AME) to strengthen the nutrition components of food security and health programming as a mechanism to improve the nutritional status of its target populations.
