The USCG Recreational Boating Safety Grant is offered to national nonprofit public service organizations. This grant is for supporting recreational boating safety activities nationwide. Eligible applicants must be non-governmental 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofits. They must demonstrate the ability to provide recreational boating safety services that are national-in-scope, either by currently operating in all regions, or by proposing a plan to partner with other organizations across all regions. A national membership base alone is not sufficient. Additionally, a primary function of the organization must be to provide services to the public. The grant aims to enhance boating safety through widespread, accessible programs.
