Applicants must demonstrate existing and proposed partnerships with public, private, philanthropic, and community partners to provide assistance. Planning must directly benefit cities or towns with 50,000 residents or less.

The Deputy Under Secretary for Rural Development is seeking applications from organizations to provide planning and/or implementation technical assistance to rural communities to foster placemaking under the Rural Placemaking Innovation Challenge (RPIC). This funding opportunity will be administered by the USDA Rural Development Innovation Center and is announcing up to $1,000,000 in competitive cooperative agreement funds in fiscal year (FY) 2020. This funding opportunity lists the information needed to submit an application for the funds and announces that Rural Development (the Agency) is accepting FY 2020 applications to support RPIC. Planning must directly benefit cities or towns with 50,000 residents or less.
