Any responses received as a result of this NOI shall be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and will not be considered for purposes of award under this announcement.
The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), Office of Procurement Services (OPS), intends to provide funding for a Cooperative Agreement with the International Labor Organization (ILO) to strengthen efforts to combat forced labor, including forced child labor, in Brazil, and disseminate and share good practices in Brazil and with Peru. This project seeks to (1) increase knowledge on forced labor and strengthen the capacity of selected states and municipalities to implement Brazils Second National Plan to Combat Forced Labor and complementary state plans; (2) build capacity of the National Pact Against Forced Labor to develop and implement sustainable strategies to expand its reach to states and sectors where forced labor is prominent; (3) link victims of forced labor and their households to social and livelihood programs; (4) develop innovative livelihood interventions for victims of forced labor and those at risk of entering it, including child laborers, through public-private partnerships; and (5) support trilateral partnership involving the governments of the United States, Brazil, and Peru to replicate in Peru some components of Brazils comprehensive approach to combat forced labor. |
