Additional Information on Eligibility: This financial assistance opportunity is being issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Program.  CESU’s are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. Eligible recipients must be a participating partner of the Colorado Plateau Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CPCESU) Program.

Description: The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research related to Pseudogymnoascus destructans/White-nose syndrome (Pd/WNS) surveillance and ecological assessments that include but are not limited diets of bats from the western United States of America. Studies will include a collaboration between USGS-FORT, NPS, BLM, USGS-National Wildlife Health Center, and others to determine the presence of Pd/WNS on lands managed by NPS and BLM. Further, ecological assessments of bats will include field-based research, laboratory analyses of data collected from the field, data management.
