Additional Information

Agency Name: Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health
Description: This announcement seeks applications from public and private nonprofit entities to establish and operate voluntary family planning services projects, which shall provide family planning services to all persons desiring such services, with priority for services to persons from low-income families. The Title X statute specifies that local and regional public or private nonprofit entities may apply directly to the Secretary for a Title X family planning services grant under this announcement. Funding of applications that propose to rely on other entities to provide services will take into consideration the extent to which the applicant indicates it can provide the required services and best serve individuals in need throughout the anticipated service area. For applicants that will not provide all services directly, the applicant must document the process it will use for providing an opportunity to receive subawards to qualified entities eligible to receive federal funds in providing services throughout the service area to meet the needs of project beneficiaries.
