Additional Information

Agency Name: Bureau of Reclamation
Description:

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a Grant Agreement to  Department of Fish and Wildlife under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.517, Public Law 85-624, 16 U.S.C. 661 et seq., as amended, and Section 7(a) Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act (FWCA), (70 Stat 1122; 16 U.S.C. 742f(a)), as limited and delegated by the Secretary of the Interior delegation of authority to the Bureau of Reclamation at 255 DM 1.1B, Sections (1)(a) Estimated total amount of agreement is $49,000.00 with the Recipient providing a total of $0.00. Reclamation is providing $49,000.00 in Fiscal Year 2018.  The purpose of this project will assist the CDFW in accomplishing its public purpose by determining susceptibility of waterbodies in California to infestation by quagga or zebra mussels. Susceptible waterbodies are those lakes, reservoirs and impoundments that have a high enough concentration of calcium to allow mussels to survive and viably produce. Once identified, these waterbodies will be the focus of CDFW efforts to prevent introduction of quagga and zebra mussels. The project is not primarily for the direct benefit of Reclamation or other Federal government agencies.   (Refer to the Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No. BOR-MP-18-N027 for additional information).
