Component A—Strategic and other planning meetings: Activities will include the planning, coordinating, and convening of annual strategic and other planning meetings to address public health priorities and capacity building for the region. Public health stakeholders in the region will communicate, coordinate, and collaborate to address regional health priorities. Component B—Emergency response: Activities will support unanticipated public health emergencies as they arise in the region. The activities will address the immediate needs of a given emergency and will be focused on acute public health needs and crisis mitigation. Applicants may apply for Component A, Component B, or Components A and B. Component A will have a single recipient. Component B Applications will be Approved but Unfunded (ABU) until such a time as the resources and services of a particular recipient is required. |
