The National Center for Research Resources, National Institutes of Health (NIH NCRR) is offering this X02 grant opportunity to encourage pre-applications for new national Biomedical Technology Research Centers (BTRCs). This grant is for institutions seeking to establish centers dedicated to research and development of innovative biomedical technologies and instruments. BTRCs are expected to make their advanced technologies accessible to the broader research community, provide training in their utilization, and broadly disseminate experimental results. Please note, this pre-application (X02) does not result in formal awards directly. Instead, meritorious and programmatically relevant pre-applications will receive an invitation to submit a full P41 application for a new Biomedical Technology Research Center.
