Description: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to fund an administrator and technical assistance provider for a new American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited Superior Energy Performance (SEP) Certification program. SEP is a planned certification program that will provide third party verification of continual improvement in energy efficiency at industrial and commercial facilities. Once launched, the program will provide a transparent, globally accepted system for validating energy intensity performance improvement and management practices. The Department of Energy will provide funding for one awardee under this FOA to serve as the SEP Certification Program Administrator (SEP-PA). The SEP-PA will be responsible to develop, launch and operate the SEP Certification program. Key tasks include (1) development of a self-sustaining business model for the SEP Certification program; (2) management and administration of the SEP Certific
ation program; and (3) promotion of the SEP Certification program.
