The application package is available for download in the attachments and by completing it on-line in Grants.gov, then PRINTING – PLEASE READ THE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS. *****In accordance with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Historic Preservation Funds have been allocated to the National Park Service (NPS) to award preservation grants to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) for the preservation/rehabilitation and restoration of historic structures on their campuses. The goal of this grant program is to make historic properties on the campuses of HBCUs safe and useable. Eligible activities include structural stabilization; masonry work abating environmental hazards; installing or replacing heating, ventilating, and cooling systems; replacing damaged electrical and plumbing systems; repairing leaky roofs; treating termite damage; and providing handicapped accessibility. All work must be performed in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. |
