Additional Information

Agency Name: U.S. Mission to Pakistan
Description:

The U.S. Embassy Islamabad’s Public Affairs Section is pleased to announce competition for an assistance award through our Public Diplomacy Grants program. U.S. Embassy, Islamabad invites eligible organizations (see Eligibility Requirements) to submit proposals for an award under a Cooperative Agreement to support efforts to build media capacity in an increasingly digital space through a series of virtual workshops, webinars, and one-on-one support for developing digital media skills. Program activities will take place virtually, engaging a total of 30 journalists from across Pakistan. Participant selection will be subject to the approval of the U.S. Embassy and Consulates, and the program must ensure at least 50 percent female participation. The program should include both Urdu and English language journalists.  Grant proposals must explain how activities will support efforts to help shape the future of digital media in Pakistan and expand the digital skills of journalists seeking to break into that space, including the development of online audiences and the monetization of digital platforms.  This program’s target audience is young, established, professional journalists who are seeking to expand their presence on one of more of the following platforms: personal websites, blogs, microblogs, online video channels, podcasts, or internet radio. Proposals have a funding floor of $80,000 and a funding ceiling of $100,000.  Proposals should cover a one-year period of performance.  Review the Notice of Funding Opportunity for a complete list of requirements.
